What The Hell Is Up With That?

It’s one thing to be in a reality based world operating from fact, but it’s an entirely different set of circumstances when you begin to blurt out partisan BS with the same veracity as flushing an airplane toilet.  I wouldn’t mind if the talking points posed serious questions about issues that could be debated, but it’s all just “staying on message” talking points designed to take the middle class and infuse doubt and confusion as opposed to fact.

So here she is - Michele Bachmann.  I’m sure at first she was probably a real peoples politician, most likely she defending the working class because in large part that what Minnesota has.  But then Bachmann goes from a virtually unknown to a FOX News wet dream by going on MSNBC and calling Barack Obama “Anti-American” and continuing with suggesting that he may not have been born is this country and going all Orly Taitz on us (Orly Taitz for those of you not familiar is the Dentist, Lawyer, Realtor that is still leading the charge in the Birther movement - funny thing is, she’s not a natural citizen of the US herself… don’t you love America!). And all this from a Representative….

So I guess Michele just can’t help herself - she’s garnered some spot lights and the Republicans recognize that so now they use her mouth to spew garbage like the labeling of school based health clinics as “Sex Clinics”.  Yup, that happened and again it was pulled from the health care reform bill.  Doesn’t it just kill you that all these Republicans spend their time ripping apart a bill but have yet to present their own bill?  None the less this pretty face took to the stump and painted a picture that parents will never know about their kids health problems because “the bill” would protect the children.  I’ll drop this in the same category as the Death Panel thing.

But enough on Bachmann let’s move to Daddy’s little puppet Liz “I’m not the Lesbian Daughter” Cheney.  Now this chick has got herself some serious issues.  As you may have seen in the news recently Our President met the caskets of some of our fallen soldiers at Dover Air Force Base.  Liz Cheney actually accused the President as turning his visit into a media publicity stunt!  Wow - she actually said “I don’t know why he went to Dover”.

She went onto say that she feels it’s important that a commander and chief make these kinds of visits and they should whenever possible pay their respects to our fallen hero’s.  Okay a little misguided but so far nothing over the top that would send you to your Facebook blog and write how upset you are… well you might as well log in to your Facebook account right now because she wasn’t done talking.  This woman actually went onto to say - and I quote: “what President Bush used to do is do it without the cameras”.  Okay are you all logged into to your accounts because here we go - PRESIDENT BUSH NEVER VISITED DOVER AIR FORCE BASE TO MEET THE CASKETS OF FALLEN SOLDIERS!  Sorry I didn’t mean to yell, but as is often the case these Republican “stay-on-pointers” often so not check facts before they speak.  But in this particular case all she really had to do was call Daddy on his rotary dial cell phone and ask, “Dad when our fallen hero’s came home and you went to meet their caskets did the White House press core come and take pictures?”.  Because if she asked that question of her father, he would have been forced to tell her that neither he or Bush visited Dover Air Force Base to meet our fallen soldiers.

And finally I’ll close out today’s post with the biggest crazy bitch of them all Joe Lieberman!

I don’t even know where to start.  This guy is clearly the loose cannon on the senatorial floor.  This is one crazy guy that for some reason the Dems keep kowtowing to.  They give him nice positions on committees and constantly try to make nice.  So what does he do to say thanks - threatens to filibuster an earth breaking piece of legislation that would literally change this country for the better.  This actually has a funny twist because 15 years ago when Liebermann was a Democrat and a junior senator for the Nutmeg State he actually lobbied to have the filibuster removed from the senate floor saying the filibuster is a lot of what ails Washington today.  As it turns out Joe what actually “ails” Washington today - is you!  What the hell is up with that?
